Akendi gave me free tickets to see a Raptors game. I’m not a huge sports watcher so I’ve never fully watched a NBA basketball game. I’ve only watched a high school game once, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I went with Chris and he watches the games once and a while on TV so he explained to me throughout the night how the game works. I bet the hardcore basketball men sitting next to us were laughing at the stupid questions I asked Chris.

“What happened?” -Me

” …a foul” -Chris

“why?”

“I’m not sure” -Chris

Oh well, those men were loud, little crazy and one stunk like old smoking man…So they were annoying themselves anyways.

I was scared I’d end up getting bored of the game but I got really into it and the night was very entertaining. They had raptors girls that danced and entertained during the breaks, prizes, the big kissing cam (which I wanted it to show Chris and I but didn’t)and of course the actual game. The game got pretty intense. Raptors were losing in the first quarter, then they caught up in the second. By the third they were up by 10 points! The last quarter got exciting, the denver nuggets were catching up and BAM! in the last 30 seconds of the game. We were tied at 95. In the last 16 seconds, Denver fouled and Toronto got to shoot twice for two points but we missed one and got one in. So now we are in the lead 96 by 95. I was like… OMG! we got this! and seriously in the last second, denver shot the ball and it went in. *BUZZ* the time goes 0.0. And we  lost since the basket in counts for two points we lost 96 to 97. I was soooo disappointed! And Chris too since he really wanted the free pizza  because if the raptors score more than 100 points, everyone gets free pizza.

Regardless, I had an VERY exciting night. I never thought I would be so into it but I was cheering and on the edge of my seat. Oh well, maybe next time.
