FoodReview: Kyu Shou

This Japanese noodle house place is right across from Market Village and offers cheap deals for lunch. Most combos start at $5.99 with lots of choices from ramen combos to many bento box options. Chris and I went twice already and its a good place to eat lunch.

The atmosphere of the place is nice. It’s Asian modern, as I would call it and pretty cozy.

I really like their meat in the ramen, very flavourful. I forgot the name of ramen we ordered but it was the special ones.

The egg wasn’t proper ramen style but I like my eggs cooked. The soup was flavourful and the noodles were a good texture.

The second time I went, I got their Bento Box w/ tempura and teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki was ‘ok’ because it was little too salty for my taste but Chris liked it a lot. Tempura was good tho! They even gave me Apple tempura and I liked it, better than broccoli or zucchini *blech*  Chris got the chicken Katsu.  I normally don’t like Katsu b/c I find it too dry and/or crunchy but I liked this one. And their “curry” or sweet & sour sauce was good!

I have yet to find a top-notch ramen place in GTA… but if you have please let me know! I’ve tried Kenzo, Ajisan & Takebashi. Nothing compares to Ramen place I’m ache to go back to in Los Angeles…
