Great Wolf Lodge – Thanksgiving

For the long weekend, my family and I drove up to Niagara and stayed over at Great Wolf Lodge, Waterpark and Resort. We checked in on Saturday about 3:00pm and then went down to the park until 7:00pm. It was SO much fun! My parents were like kids again splashing down the waterslides and laughing their heads off.  The package we got was great, $200 for the night and 4 passes to the waterpark on a long weekend. Great place to go with or without kids!

Thanksgiving getaway

The lobby was packed with people checking in. Lots of families and kids, I was a bit worried about the lines. The decor was great. Nice and cozy, with a fireplace and outdoor feel… like Vaughn Mills’ Bass Pro Shop.

The room was nice too. Very spacious, clean and had high ceilings. Each room comes with a mini-fridge and microwave! So we naturally brought our own microwaveable food… which was super satisfying after a day in the park.

The waterpark was great! It was well themed and there we lots to do! Small lazy river, wave pool, kids area w/ big bucket, outdoor and indoor hot tubs, two big crazy rides (Wooly Mammoth & Niagara River Rapids) –these were the best ones! and four other tube slides, which were fun… including the one where its like a toilet and you spin in a bowl for a bit. Lines were not bad at all… at most 15-20mins for the Wooly Mammoth & Niagara River Rapid ride. And this was their primetime… if you went after 6pm, things slow down. There was something for everyone – toddlers, kids, tweens, teens and adults. I’m definitely going back, maybe next time with Chris and friends.
