[Trip] Kos, Greece
Day 1 – May 15, 2011
We arrived after a long plane ride from Frankfurt to Kos. Woke up at about 2:30am then traveled to Hahn Airport for our 7:40am flight. We were exhausted but excited as well.
Once we arrived, we bused ourselves to Diamond Deluxe Hotel. This place was gorgeous but quiet since it was off-season. We fooled around and took photos around the hotel.
We went to the private beach across the street. It was beautiful and we had a view of Turkey. We all caught up on missed sleep here since the relaxing waves were very tranquil.
The pool was freezing but Michelle, Dru & Mike made use of it. I struggled and barely got in though.
Mike and I went for a run and then we rented bicycles after to explore the island. We saw a beautiful sunset before we headed back to the hotel for a included buffet dinner
Day 2 – May 16, 2011
We explored Kos Island with our bikes. I wasn’t expecting much from lesser-known island but it was very quaint and had it’s own small town charm. The people we met were incredibility friendly.
We did some shopping and then I bought a mini windmill miniature figurine to add to my collection. I asked the shop keeper where this was and he told me, “Lambi Beach” so I wanted to see it and we went hunting for it. We found an abandon windmill and it looked like it.
Then we explored further and found another windmill part of a restaurant by the beach. We stopped there for a lovely refreshing salad and took photos around the windmill.
As we were riding along the beach, Mike almost hit a Cow. So he wanted to get close to get a photo with it only to make the cow angry and get ready to charge.
We headed to port to catch our ferry to Santorini. The port departing Kos was very romantic with the sunsetting in the background.
