[Trip] Las Vegas & EDC
I’m back again for another session of Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. It was just as much fun as the first time but not as magical because it was the second time around.
The Las Vegas
‘O’ Cirque d’Soleil – finally got to see this high-priced show. It was visually intriguing to see the water stage change but the storyline does not live up to ‘Ka’
Dig This – I saw this attraction last time and thought it would be unique and fun to try… So after finding a groupon and being persuaded by Chi-Wai… I did it! It was fun and different –something to check off my bucket list.
Wet Republic Pool Party – Not my favourite A&B set but still fun to party in the pool with some great friends
The Food
Mon Ami Gabi – Delicious french brunch (crepes & french toast) to start the weekend off.
Tacos El Gordo – it was cheap ($2 a taco) and so satisfying. The Mexican fries were amazing… Like a different type of poutine.
Raku – made it after a previously failed attempt. It was good and I loved the charcoal grilled smokey taste. Some dishes I enjoyed more than others. I would go back.
Raku Sweets – an impressive dessert bar that rivals with my favorite spot in NYC, Chickalicious. Beautiful and delicious.
Yardbird – Possibly one of the best fried chicken dishes I’ve ever had. It was unique and indescribable. The spiced chilled watermelon with the cheddar waffle was an amazing accomplice.
Bacchanal Buffet – Yes it is expensive but it had some delicious choices! Some better than other but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There was this very memorable roasted Japanese rice pudding… Mmm. It was also lovely to end the trip with dining with most of my travel group.
The Hotel
Finally got the chance to stay at my favourite hotel “The Venetian” –Beautiful and expansive pool area, amazing restaurant choices and comfortable spacious suites.
