I stumbled upon this new concept lounge called Paint Lounge, where you can go there paint on canvas and enjoy some drinks. With the last Clay painting experience so fun, my friends and I decided to try this out. I organized a 3-4 hour painting party for about $27 per person with a 16×20 canvas, all the painting supplies and coffee or tea.

 

It was a great experience! There were pumps of acrylic paints and many brushes and painting supplies to choose from.

Of course, since my friends were designers… they were naturally excellent painters. We wanted to paint a common theme but we couldn’t decide on one so we said… paint whatever! There were books and photos of paintings at the lounge for inspiration.

I decided to play it safe because although I design, I’m not an artist. The last time I painted was in great 8! But everyone did some great stuff. Here is all of our finished pieces.

 

 

It’s definitely something new to try in Markham but it isn’t cheap. Non-party rates can cost starting at $30 for the smallest canvas, which is 16×20. It would be great if they had smaller canvases like 8×10 or mini ones like 5×5 for a lower price. I’ll probably be back and bring maybe my Sister and Dad because they really love to paint!
