Conquering Leviathan

Canada’s wonderland first built Behemoth in 2008, which became Canada’s tallest and fastest roller coaster. I was terrified of it but went on it and loved it. This year, they built an even taller and faster coaster called Leviathan. It’s a 3 min., 28 seconds ride featuring a 80° angled drop from 93.3m high at descent speed of 148 km/h. Compare this to Behemoth; 70 m tall with a 75° drop at only 125km/hour.

Here is the wonderland testing PR video for Levithan.

I went on it this weekend at a special private corporate day. In fact, I went on it twice since the lines were so minimal. Try to make friends with someone who works a a bank for access to these private days!

The ride was amazing and in my opinion less scary than Behemoth. The first drop is more intense at 80 degrees but the rest is pretty smooth and just goes really fast. Behemoth has more bumps so you feel the butterflies in your tummy more. Regardless, both of these coasters are in comparable to the others and they both rock.

So excited and nervous

Lucky for us, there was no wait on Behemoth near the end of the day, Olivia and I just went on it 4 times in a row! These coasters ain’t  got anything on us anymore.
