Insane Inflatable 5K
It was a gloomy day in Seattle where meteorologists were predicting extreme wind and rain the whole week leading up to the run. But our non-refundable registration pushed us to go. Our laughs kicked off in the car when Emily and Yuliya geared up in ponchos. Yuliya even modified her poncho to be more slim-fit.
The airhorn went off and we climbed and slid down the start obstacle. And already, Yuliya and Emily landed in the mud and my pants were soaked.
Climbing the inflatables were not too tough in wet conditions. In fact, the rain made the slides on the other side extra slippery and fun. Of course, the running part is always hard.
There was one obstacle that I couldn’t get over. I jumped and tried to “superman” it but failed. With some bounce momentum, I awkwardly rolled over without any elegance.
We climbed, we bounced, we slid and I even managed to successfully hop across some large balls. It was a blast and we couldn’t stop laughing and being kids in a bouncy castle agian.
