Cirque-Ability

I’ve been a fan of the cirque arts ever since my Cirque du Soliel show and then, when I saw a groupon deal for this class. I jumped at the opportunity to try it out (and get a mini-work out too). The studio was fairly small but good enough for our class since there were two instructors teaching two groups of 6.

The class lasted about 1 hour and 30 mins, except Chris and I missed the first half hour being lost in toronto and terrible traffic everywhere. Maybe next time I can try it again, since I didn’t get to try the trapeze and Chris’ didn’t get to try the ring. Hence, why all of our photos are of the silks.

Chris was a natural and so strong even though he was the only one in jeans =_= He didn’t look the part. The first trick was just to climb up the ribbon. I failed horribly but Chris made it to the top!

Climbing Chris

The next trick was easier but Chris’ still did it better than me and my photo was just a crotch shot. What a natural poser!

This next one was a flip upside down one that looks crazy but it was easily. Sadly, I cannot do the splits so my legs looks like a ‘V’ Not very graceful that’s for sure. Haha.

The last trick was to sit in a cocoon and it was quick comfy. I could sit in there all day!
