[Trip] Snow+shoe/mobile/board weekend

This was my second trip up north and we planned to do a couple of winter activities before the season ends including snowshoeing, snowmobiling and snowboarding. We booked a snowshoe and snowmobile tour for Saturday with rideonrentals.com. The snowshoeing for 1.5 hour was very scenic as we ventured in the forest but it was very exhausting too. Great leg workout that’s for sure.

It was gorgeous tho with the trees and ground covered in snow And it even started to flurry snow!

Surprisingly tiring

Afterwards, Chris and I took a break to refresh where we were joined by livi and chi to go snowmobiling! Now this experience was very exciting and fast!! But actually max speed limits were like 50km/h and most of the time, we’d reach up to 40km/h. Our 1 hour tour was through winding scenic trails and open fields where we could gun it.

Chris and I took turn driving one. Chris got to floor it on open fields while I held on. It was a bumpy ride and you feel like the snowmobile is gonna tip over! I got the winding trails through the forest. It was beautiful, the trees covered in snow and your zooming by. Funny story, we were almost done the tour and then we somewhat tipped! I was freaked out and I had to kick with my right leg to push it back up but just like that it was fine and stable again… Except chris got smack by a tree and FLEW off!! I looked back and he was gone and all I saw was him running after me like “Fuuuuu!” Good thing I looked back and so I stopped and picked him up. He said it didn’t hurt him tho. It was a blast! Definitely would try it again!

That evening, we drove to horseshoe and stayed at nearby resort. We had hotpot, satisfying after a long day! The guys all discover how wonderful hoisin sauce is with hotpot (I always thought this was common…) The next day, we went snowboarding at horseshoe valley resort. This may be the last time this season with all this warm weather we are having. Chris, Chauncey and I have improved so much this year from learning how to stop to carving S on blue runs successfully! Can’t wait to go back already!

I can get used to this
